Description;
From vineyards planted with Petit Verdot in sandy loam soils. The pruning is Guyot.
This is a first vintage for this cuvee. A new vintage is often a story of chance, an offbeat adventure, a desire to experiment, and a lot of “we’ll see…”. At the start, a Petit Verdot vat was too small to accommodate the entire harvest destined for maceration into red wine. So we opened the valves to “make room” and thus collect the very first juices from the static drainage. A juice barely coloured, clear, and preserved from any crushing. And off we went to make rosé…
Tasting Notes;
The nose is delicate with aromas of lilac, sage, and crushed strawberry. The palate is incredibly delicious with notes of red fruit compote. A fresh finish that enhances the aromatic palette. What more could you ask for!?
Food Pairings;
Perfect on its own or as a pre-dinner aperitif. It will also pair with salads or fresh grilled or steamed fish.
