Description:
“Alte d’Altesi” is a Tuscan red wine made from a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The must is obtained by the soft pressing of the grapes and fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, the wine is then transferred to medium-roasted Allier barriques for a period 12 to 14 months in total.
Tasting Notes:
The wine has a distinct purple colour. The nose gives off fruity hints followed by more floral and spicy notes with hints of cinnamon and vanilla. In the mouth is full, round with a balance between alcohol and tannic texture with a long finish and aromatic persistence.
Food Pairings:
Perfect with mixed grills, try with pork skewers and with recipes based on game and aged cheeses.
