Mas De Can Blau, 0.75L, 2020

Description;

The wine is a result of a careful selection of our best Garnacha planted in rocky soils known as llicorella, blended together with Cariñena vines in clay soils and Syrah in limestone soils. Maceration-fermentation in small stainless-steel vats. Malolactic fermentation and subsequent aging in new French oak barrels for 18 months.

Tasting Notes;

The Mas de Can Blau 2020 unfurls a tapestry of scents, where ripe black fruits such as blackberries and plums intertwine with hints of liquorice and a whisper of toasted oak. On the palate, its mature and robust character comes to the fore, with vibrant fruit supported by firm tannins, a legacy of its sojourn in oak barrels. The finish is long and enveloping, leaving a complex impression with a spiced aftertaste that lingers pleasantly. This red wine is a mosaic of concentrated flavours to be savoured leisurely.

Food Pairings;

Intense ruby red with garnet edges. Powerful aroma of ripe fruits and roasted, there is a balance between warm notes of macerated fruit and memories of terroir. Full, meaty and powerful on the palate, concentrated and tasty but not excessive with a long, wide and persistent finish. ‘Well-furnished’ as for its aging in oak, shaped to please both trained tasters and general consumers.
