Absolutely the best VALUE TO QUALITY ratio red wine available at only EUR € 7.50 @ 12 bottles, with consistent Robert Parker ratings at 90+ points over several vintages.
Description:
The Garnacha Tintorera (Alicante Bouschet) is one of the few grape varieties with red flesh. It is well-known that most red varieties have white flesh but there are a few exceptions to this rule, where we can find strongly-coloured grapes which produce wines of an unusual intensity.
The grapes of Garnacha Tintorera (Alicante Bouschet) (70%) and Monastrell (Mourvèdre) (30%) come from vineyards located in Almansa between 700 and 1.000 metres of altitude and planted on sandy soils with high amount of limestone. Fermented separately in stainless steel tanks and then aged in French oak barrels.
Tasting Notes:
A unique wine that combines complexity, structure and intense cherry colour. Elegant, fresh and complex nose, where ripe fruits and floral notes can be appreciated. Pleasant and fresh entry, balanced with soft tannins, unctuous and enveloping with a pleasant mid-palate and a long finish.
Food Pairings:
Ideal to accompany rice dishes, stewed vegetables, mushrooms, game and poultry, casseroles, fish and shellfish in sauce, cured and blue cheeses, grilled white and red meats.
