Description;
Dominio Del Aguila Canta La Perdiz, named after the single vineyard where the grapes are grown. This wine has an extraordinary balance of power and elegance, showing both tension and fluidity on the palate. Each vintage is labelled to reflect the growing conditions of that particular year – the blue electric guitar for a cool vintage, the fiery piano for a warm one and an eagle for a temperate vintage. Dominio del Águila Canta la Perdiz is a red wine made from 80% Tempranillo and 20% of other red and white varieties by the Dominio del Águila winery in the town of La Aguilera (Burgos), D.O. Ribera del Duero.
The grapes used come from one of the oldest vineyards in La Aguilera, with vines over 150 years old planted with Tempranillo and other red and white varieties blended together.
This vineyard is located at 890 metres above sea level on sandy soils on the surface and chalky soils at depth.
