The vineyards are located in the municipality of El Molar in the hearth of the Priorat DOQ. The winery, named Mas Perxet, is located next to the Siurana river and is surrounded by 10 hectares of owned vineyards located in an ancient landscape with slate soils, typical of the area.
Producing wine in one of the most prestigious and internationally recognized wine regions, alongside the renowned Clos wines, Llicorella Vins has introduced two new references with a commitment to sustainability, excellence and innovation that characterize the vision for the future.
Bluegray, a wine aged for approximately 10 months in French oak barrels and Clar del Bosc a wine aged for approximately 15 months in French oak barrels.
To set foot in the heart of the Priorat is to set foot in the sacred land of wine. The roots of the vines are entangled between fossil slates called ‘llicorellas’. That is why the mineral soul of the grape preserves the residue of ancestral times.
The alternating winds, cold from the north and temperate from the east of the sea, ventilate the steep slopes where the vine is grown, with such a slope that it is necessary to maintain manual methods. From slow harvests and scarce harvests emerge the highest and most subtle reds. Grenache and Carignan are the most cultivated varieties but also Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah are grown in these mountains with gray, ochre and yellow streaks, which make up the golden mile of wine.
