Description;
The vines are planted in vineyards with Loess on Danube gravel and the grapes are harvested by hand. The wine is fermented on the grapes own natural yeasts. 6 months of maturation in a large old oak cask.
Tasting Notes;
Light golden in colour. The nose is interesting with red apples, some hazelnuts and slight floral tones. The bouquet features notes of fresh nuts, apples, pears and quinces. On the palate fresh almonds and white flowers are added together with light minerality. It is medium bodied with light tannins and it has a slightly oily texture. It has a bit of almond on the finish. Despite being aged in oak it is without any hint of wood, which gives it a fresh and lively aroma.
Food Pairings;
Nice on its own. The wine will also work well with fried and grilled sea food and fried chicken. It is great with Asian food such as Japanese Tempura, Popiah (Spring Rolls), Hokkien Mee (Noodles)
