Description;
The grapes of Garnacha from small plots with low yields are hand-picked and fermented separately in small vats, then transferred into French oak barrels to complete the malolactic fermentation process. After 15 months, each barrel is tasted and a careful selection is carried out in order to obtain this elegant wine.
Tasting Notes;
Fresh red berries, such as juicy strawberries and ripe raspberries, marry with spicy nuances of black pepper and a hint of vanilla that testifies to the maturity in oak barrels. The fruitiness of the Grenache grape unfolds on the palate with a remarkable intensity. Juicy cherries and blackcurrants marry with delicate hints of dried herbs that give the wine a subtle complexity. The soft tannins provide a pleasant texture, while a lively acidity gives the wine freshness and elegance. The ageing in oak barrels contributes to a harmonious structure, with the fine woody notes remaining discreetly in the background and giving space to the fruity character of the Godina Grenache. The finish is long-lasting and leaves a lasting impression of fruitiness and spices. The Godina Garnacha from Bodegas Morca is an outstanding wine that presents the characteristics of the Garnacha grape in perfect balance.
