Description;
The Offida Pecorino D.O.C.G., is made from 100% Pecorino grapes from the Tenuta Santoris own vineyards located in Comune di Ripatransone, Marche, Italy. The vineyards are located between 250/300 MT above sea level. The soil is predominantly limestone. The vines are trained in the Gayot system and the grapes are manually harvested. After pressing and fermentation the wine is aged in stainless stell tanks for 8 months before bottling.
Tasting Notes;
Straw coloured yellow with greenish reflections. On the nose there are notes of citrus with a full and persistently pulpy mouth. Excellent minerality and great flavour, characteristics given by the position of the vineyard that benefits from the sea currents and salt pans of the Adriatic Sea during the day and the colder ones, from the Sibillini Mountains, during the night.
Food pairing;
It’s perfect to pair with all kind of fish, but also white meat and grilled vegetables.
