Tasting Notes;

The wine captivates with its bright golden yellow colour and inspires with a bouquet-rich and fruity aroma. Fine notes of citrus fruits, peaches, apples and herbs give Grüner Veltliner a unique fragrance. On the palate, there is a pleasant freshness with a balanced acidity and a harmonious finish. This dry white wine is an excellent accompaniment to fish, seafood or white meats and is ideal for special occasions or as a gift for wine lovers. The Grüner Veltliner Federspiel Late Release from Nikolaihof Wachau is an exquisite wine that meets the highest standards and is full of finesse and elegance.

Food Pairings;

Since Grüner Veltliner is a dry white wine and the Federspiel category indicates a medium intensity, it harmonizes well with light to medium-heavy dishes. Fried fish, such as salmon, seabass or seabream, with a side of green vegetables or salad will perfectly complement the wine. Grüner Veltliner Federspiel is great for crunchy salads, especially those with green vegetables like kale. A mild chicken curry would also go well with this dry white wine, as the slight spiciness would create a good balance with the wine. Any dish with asparagus and ham will be enhanced by the acidity of the wine. Pasta dishes with a light cream sauce is a great accompaniment to bring out the full flavours of the wine. Garnish with fresh herbs such as parsley or basil.
